Nutrition Program
Nutrition Counseling is offered by a Registered Dietitian. The registered dietitian will develop personalized nutrition plan and help you to have healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. Nutrition counseling may also be beneficial to you if you have diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, or need help achieving weight loss. Nutrition counseling is available for both adults and children in English and in Spanish. Ask your medical provider for a referral to our Registered Dietitian.

All IHC medical members are eligible for nutrition services.
Your primary care provider can help you determine if you are a good fit for medical nutrition therapy.

How to make an Appointment
Nutrition counseling is available for IHC medical members only. Nutrition appointments are typically made by your care team after being referred to the Registered Dietitian. Nutrition appointments are offered at the downtown Wellness Center, and the Meridian, Silver Creek, Pediatric Center, and Family Medicine Center clinics.
Initial appointments are typically an hour and follow ups are typically 30 minutes. If you are interested in our nutrition program or seeing the Registered Dietitian and are an IHC medical patient you may contact CWO at 408-960-0644.
Insurance and Payment Accepted
Medical Nutrition Therapy is free of cost for Indian Health Center members. If you have Santa Clara Family Health Plan, your insurance may be billed.
