Take your test to Vernon Medicine Cloud (Meridian site) or Vanesscia Bates (Wellness Center) to learn more about joining the Indian Health Center’s DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM.  With some small changes to a person’s lifestyle, diabetes can be delayed and even prevented.  It’s true!  This program is based on our Native Traditions of maintaining balance.

Who can be part of the DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM?
This program is for American Indian and Alaska Native people over the age of 18 years and who have a condition known as  “Pre-diabetes”.  In order to participate, you can’t be pregnant, and you can’t be diabetic.  There are some other requirements we can talk to you about.
